Janette Rose, 81

Janette Rose, 81, of White Pigeon, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at home following an extended illness.

She was born June 26, 1932, in Booneville, Ky., a daughter of Scott W. and Beitha (Comb) Bishop.

On Dec. 26, 1953, she married Irvin D. Rose in Three Rivers. He died Nov. 9, 1994.

She had lived in the White Pigeon area since 1952, coming from Kentucky, and was employed by Greenfield Research for several years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, baking and most of all her family.

Surviving are two daughters, Donna J. (Jimmy) Whitt of Sturgis and Karen M. (Lynn) Bowen of Goshen, Ind; a son, Ronald D. Rose of White Pigeon; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Jean Bowling of Booneville, Ky.; four brothers, William Bishop of Booneville, Jesse Paul Bishop of Melbourne, Fla., Ellis Bishop of Burkeville, Ky., and Scott Bishop of California; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Don R. Rose; and three brothers.

Relatives and friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services are at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Scott Manning of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will take place in Mottville Township Cemetery.
