Nedra Miller, 88

Nedra L. Miller, of Topeka, Ind., passed away Dec. 23, 2013, at the age of 88.

She was born April 3, 1925 in Ligonier, Ind. On Aug. 30, 1952 she married Walter “Ray” Miller. He preceded her in death Oct. 6, 2003.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie (Dave) Palmer of Centreville and Patty (Bryce) Elkins of Columbia City, Ind.; three grandchildren, Steve (Haley) Palmer of Sturgis, Jason (Jenna) Elkins of Columbia City, Ind., and Erin (Adam) Pianowski of Three Rivers; and nine great-grandchildren, Dylan, Gavin, Addison, Maxson, Elaine, Bryce IV, Bradyn, Avery and Macy.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Norma Jean Gose; and a grandson, Bryce B. Elkins III.

Nedra was a member of Topeka Mennonite Church and loved to watch sports. She was an avid fan of the Bulls, Da Bears, the White Sox and Westview High School basketball. Most importantly, Nedra always cheered on her grandchildren in whatever sport they played.

A funeral service will be held in Nedra’s honor at 1 p.m. Saturday Dec. 28, 2013, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery in Topeka.

Family and friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013at the funeral home.
