New board members

Eric Jones, Mark Heydlauff and Tommy Hamilton were recently appointed to join the Sturgis Hospital Board of Directors and Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Jones joined the board Oct. 9 and will serve until May 2014. Since 1991, he has been president and owner of Michiana Corrugated Products Company.

He is presently a member and vice-president of the Sturgis Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Heydlauff also began service on Oct. 9 and will serve until May 2014. Heydlauff, city manager in Bronson, is a native of Sturgis and is the current president of the Bronson Rotary Club.

In addition, he is vice president of Branch County Community Theatre.

Hamilton was appointed to the Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. His three-year term begins Jan. 7.

Hamilton has degrees in biology and nuclear medicine. He said his many years working in the healthcare field before becoming a business owner in Sturgis have helped him appreciate having a community with good medical care facilities and services.

As co-owner of Hamilton Harley-Davidson, Hamilton is responsible for sales and operations. Hamilton’s has also coordinated many community fundraisers including some for veterans and cancer-survivor groups.
