Robert E. Newberry, 45, of Middlebury, Ind., passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at the home of his sister in Elkhart, Ind.
He was born Oct. 23, 1968, in Sanger, Calif., to Gerald and Roberta (Marquardt) Newberry.
Surviving is his father and stepmother, Gerald (Betty) Newberry of Sturgis; his mother, Roberta Tate of Phoenix; a sister, Janie (Dave) Ramsey of Elkhart; two stepbrothers, Patrick Patterson of Sturgis and Charles Patterson of Mesquite, Texas; a half-sister, Elsie Tate Hagedorn of Phoenix; a niece, Kaitlyn Ramsey of Elkhart; and a nephew, Ryan Ramsey of Goshen.
Robert graduated in 1986 from Sturgis High School. He enjoyed golfing and was employed as a CAD operator for Medallion Plastics in Elkhart.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
