Three arrested for meth

Three people, including a Three Rivers resident, were arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop last week in Park Township.

According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, a pickup truck driven by a 34-year-old man from Three Rivers was stopped around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Klines Resort Road and Silver Street.

A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered methamphetamine and items associated with meth production.

The driver was charged with driving with a suspended license, providing a false name to officers, a sex-offender violation, possession of methamphetamine and multiple warrants.

A 27 year-old-male passenger from Plainwell was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and an outstanding warrant.

In addition, a 25-year-old female from Galesburg was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

Names of the three were not included in a department media release.
