Continue to meet twice a month

The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners appears likely to continue meeting twice a month, not one time monthly as proposed by a county official. Following extensive discussion, the five-member panel during Friday’s committee of the whole meeting decided to keep the twice-a-month meeting schedule intact. Schoolcraft Police chief Bryan Campbell said a 33-year-old Jackson County man was apprehended after breaking into Bud’s Bar earlier this week. Items stolen from motorhome

The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department responded this week to a breaking-and-entering incident in Constantine Township. According to a department media release, deputies were called Wednesday to the 15000 block of Sandra Drive, where firearms and a laptop computer were stolen from a motorhome. The victim told police the incident occurred between 9:30 and 10:37 a.m. Wednesday.
