Jerome Urbaszewski, 76

Jerome C. Urbaszewski, age 74, of Klinger Lake, Sturgis, and a former Chicago, resident passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, Jan. 12, 2014, at his home.

He was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Chicago, son of the late Joseph and Irene (Zimny) Urbaszewski and fond brother of five.

His lifelong dream was achieved after retirement, of living on the lake, enjoying the company of family and friends. His strength throughout his trials served as an inspiration to us all.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Anderson) Urbaszewski; his children, Robin (Laura) Urbaszewski, David Urbaszewski, Noel (Mike) Wojtulewicz and Kevin (Rachel) Urbaszewski; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Dianna (Roginski) Urbaszewski.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass celebrating the life of Jerome Urbaszewski will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at St. Thecla Catholic Church, 6725 West Devon Avenue in Chicago.

Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with local arrangements.
