Melissa Gail Wolf, age 46, of Centreville, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
She was born July 15, 1967, in Sturgis, a daughter of Billie Guy and Faye (Eichorn) Kerschner.
Melissa was a lifelong resident of the Sturgis and Centreville area. On Dec. 5, 1988, she married John Wolf in LaGrange, Ind.
Melissa was a licensed practical nurse and employed by Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, Miller’s Merry Manor in LaGrange and Fairview Living Centre in Centreville. She also worked as a Hallmark representative serving several area retailers, a cashier at Speedway in Sturgis and Kroger in Sturgis.
She enjoyed reading, collecting Beanie Babies and arts and crafts. Melissa loved time spent with her entire family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, John; two daughters, Marybeth Wells of Sturgis and Veronica Wolf of Centreville; two sons, JP Wolf of St. Cloud, Minn., and Ryan Wolf of Sturgis; six grandchildren, Angel, Oliver, Isiaih, Dustin, Sydney and John Cloud; father and stepmother, Billie Guy (Khankeo) Kerschner of Sturgis; three sisters, Heather (Donovan) Gingerich of Middlebury, Ind., Holly (Wayne) Quirk of Elkhart, Ind., and Michele Kerschner of Kalamazoo; special friend and care giver Ayla McNett of Centreville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Firm Foundation Ministries, 651 E. Main St., Centreville. Funeral services celebrating the life of Melissa Wolf will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Firm Foundation. Pastor Don Smith will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Locust Grove Cemetery in Findley.
Hackman Family Funeral Homes — Hackman Chapel, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
