Sue Hensley, 65

Mary “Sue” Hensley, 65, of Bronson, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Bixby Hospital in Adrian.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Preacher Mark Roberts officiating. Interment will be at Snow Prairie Cemetery in Bethel Township at a later date. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 at the funeral home.

Sue was born on March 2, 1948, to John and Rebecca (Smith) Kissick in Morehead, Ky. She attended school in Morehead and lived in Kentucky until she moved to Michigan about 38 years ago. She has lived in Bronson ever since. She worked at Film Fabricators in Orland and retired around the age of 53. She loved playing Bingo in Orland and the surrounding areas, and she enjoyed making trips to the casinos. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she will be missed.

Sue is survived by her daughters Melissa “Missy” George of Bronson and Angela “Angie” McDonald of Sturgis; her companion, Merl Hensley of Bronson; her grandchildren, Morgan Hoard and Aaron McDonald; her brothers, Everett “Buddy” Johnson of Jones and Charlie “Buster” Johnson of Vandalia; her sisters, Beatrice “Beatie” Lesher of Sturgis, Sherrie (Dave) Stuck of Caspian and Carol Roskam of Jones; her step-children, Michelle (Jeff) Todd and family of Three Rivers, Scott Hensley and family of Indianapolis and Sandy (Tom) Capps and family of Bangor; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Kissick and Rebecca Smith-Johnson; her sister, Gladys Marie Caudill; and her former husband, Gerald Snedegar.
