United Way campaign

The St. Joseph County United Way is in the homestretch of its 2014 campaign, and its executive director is appealing to the public for help with a final push.

Kelly Hostetler said financial donations for the current campaign will be accepted through Jan. 31. With a goal of $740,000 – the local United Way’s largest ever – the campaign is within striking distance, Hostetler said.

A final effort to help meet the goal is a fundraiser ongoing through the end of the month. Hostetler said tickets for a snow blower raffle are $1 each and available from any United Way board member, at the agency’s Centreville office or she’ll deliver any number of tickets to anyone interested in participating.

The drawing for the snow blower will take place during the Feb. 6 Victory Celebration gathering at the Sturgis VFW.

Contributions to the United Way may be made in person, a pledge may be made over the phone at 467-9099, via Facebook or by PayPal on line through the web address sjcuw.com
