Bobby W. King, 74, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, as the result of an auto accident.
A funeral service for Bobby will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Pastor Matt Beaty from Gathering Church of God in Scottsboro, Ala., will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bobby was born Aug. 1, 1939, in Bradley Township, Ill., to Hubert and Virginia King. On Nov. 17, 1962, he married Joyce Bauder. They later divorced. He then married Joyce P. Small on May 9, 1987 in Coldwater. She preceded him in death Nov. 18, 2012.
Bobby worked in general labor and enjoyed helping others do a variety of jobs throughout his life. He worked at Coldwater American Legion, where he helped with maintenance and also served as secretary. Bobby was a very kind, gentle and giving man who was always there to help a friend in need.
Bobby is survived by his children, Gary (Elaine) Smith of Bronson, Carolyn Spencer of Coldwater, Margaret Mitchell of Underwood, Iowa, Gordon Miller of Pennsylvania, Terry (Lou) King of Alpena, Tammy (Will) Fuller and Becky Kruszka, all of Centreville, Brian (Lisa) King of Georgia, Bobbi (Mike) Garrison of Lansing, Karen (Tom) Pyrle of Georgia and Kathy (Matt) Beaty of Alabama; his brothers, Charles, Jerry and Roger King, all of Indiana; a sister, Caroline Brown of California; his former wife, Joyce Bauder, of Three Rivers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
