Frank Williamson, 81

Frank Duane Williamson, age 81, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.

He was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Payne, Ohio, a son of the late Franklin and Mittie Williamson.

Frank had resided in Sturgis since 2002, coming from Alabama. Before moving to Alabama, he lived in Columbia City, Ind., for several years.

On April 5, 2002, he married Joyce (Sansone) Hickman at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Goshen, Ind.

Frank was a lifelong farmer and machinist. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Sturgis. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and loved ministry work.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; four daughters, Heidi, Teresa, Pam and Chris; three sons, Jim, Mike and Dan; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Landis; a brother, Alan Williamson; three stepsons, John, Mark and Rik; 10 step-grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vicki Kilgore; a son, Ronnie Williamson; two sisters, Mary Jane Sheets and Bonnie Myers; and two brothers, Robert Williamson and James Williamson.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 69820 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. Elder Ronnie Marshall will officiate.

Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with the arrangements.
