Lorance Arnold, Sr., 52

Lorance Dean Arnold, Sr., age 52 of Cassopolis died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at his daughter’s home in South Bend. He was born in Three Rivers, MI on Sep. 27, 1961 the son of William and Marion (Salisbury) Arnold. Lorance was a welder and handyman and had been employed at Voyager R.V. in Elkhart. He was also a biker who enjoyed riding his Harley, going fishing, and working on model cars and trucks. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Lorance was married to Marcie Turney on Aug. 30, 1986 in South Bend. She survives along with 4 children, Craig (Grace) Phillips, Sandra Arnold, Hazel (Jack) Nichols, and Lorance Arnold, Jr. all of South Bend; 9 grandchildren; 2 brothers, William (Deb) Arnold, Jr. and Jesse Arnold; 2 sisters, Mabel Batten and Elsie (Ron) Hilyard; 2 half-sisters, Tina and Isis; 3 step-sisters, Rolanda, Kathie Jo, and Gayle; 2 step-brothers, Danny and James. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday Feb. 6, 2014 at the Eickhoff Farrand Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers, MI. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Janelle Bloom officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the family.
