Norma Jeanne Beatty-Lee, 83

Norma Jeanne Beatty-Lee, age 83, died Thursday Feb. 13, 2014 at the Birches in Leonidas. She was born in Sturgis, MI on July 16, 1930 the only child of John and Hazel (Clark) Stinchcomb. She graduated from Sturgis High School in 1948 and received her licensed practical nursing degree from Ball State University. Norma was first married to Charles Napier, and they were later divorced. She worked in healthcare and at Sturgis Molded Products. She also worked at Holiday Travel Park as a chef in Leesburg, Florida where she had resided the past 30 years. She was also a member of Presbyterian Churches in both Sturgis and Leesburg. Her husband, Garry Lee preceded her in death while in Leesburg.

Norma Jeanne is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Lance) Dodd of Kennesaw, GA and Sue (Don) Overholt of Mendon; a son, Steven (Karen) Napier of Sturgis; eight grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. A memorial service will be held Sunday Feb. 23, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Firm Foundations Ministries , 651 E. Main, Centreville, MI 59032 with Rev. Doug Schwartz officiating. Memorials may be directed to either Firm Foundation Ministries, or to The Birches, 30895 King Road, Leonidas, MI 49066.
