Snook Citizen of the Year

The Three Rivers Lions Club has amended the name of an annual award to the “Three Rivers Lions Club Bruce C. Snook Citizen of the Year.”

The name-change pays tribute to the memory of Bruce Snook, a long-standing advocate of service and the Citizen of the Year award to honor persons who serve their community. The award has been given annually since 1965.

The Three Rivers club is now accepting nominations for the 2014 award to recognize residents who have shown a commitment to service and given unselfishly of themselves for the betterment of the community. The 2014 recipient will be honored during a public banquet and program in late April.

Nominations should include a brief description of why the nominee is deserving of the honor. They should be mailed to “Bruce C. Snook Citizen of the Year Nominations”, c/o Three Rivers Lions Club, P. O. Box 134, Three Rivers, MI 49093-0103.

Nominations should be mailed by Feb. 28.
