Carry F. “Duffy” Dearduff, age 68, of Howe, Ind., passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at his home.
He was born June 22, 1945 in Muncie, Ind., a son to the late Carry and Golden Jewel (Mays) Dearduff.
Carry had lived most of his life in Howe, Ind., and had been employed by the Harter Corp. for 20 years and at the Sturgis Bowling Alley for 31 years retiring in 2009.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his longtime companion: Jan Michielson of Howe, Ind.; four daughters: Cathy (Kent) Brammer of Muncie, Ind., Fay (Alan) VandenBosch of Sturgis, Mich., Sonya Dearduff, and Katina Dearduff both of Howe, Ind.; one son: Carry Dearduff of Muncie, Ind.; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister: Mary (Benny) Mcbey of Arkansas; best friend: Phil Kulpinski of Burr Oak, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter: Brittni Burkehead.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 2–4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Services celebrating the life of Carry F. Dearduff will be held at 2 pm. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be directed to the family to help with expenses.
