A preliminary examina tion for a Burr Oak woman charged with murder is set for 9 a. m. April 25 in St. Joseph Coun ty District Court.
Maria Audrey-Louise Williams, 34, is a suspect in the shooting death of 33-year-old Dennis Brooks. Brooks was fatally shot March 13 on Townline Road in Colon Township.
Authorities said that after shooting Brooks, Williams left him lying in the road, then returned to her home in Burr Oak. Her brother, who also lives at the home, called 911 to report the shooting.
Williams remains in the St. Joseph County jail with $ 1 million bond. She is rep resented by attorney Howard Bush.
