Berdeen Poe, 92

Berdeen F. Poe, age 92, of Dowagiac, MI, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014.

She was born May 16, 1921, in Cass County, MI, the daughter of Howard J. and Beulah M. (Stanard) McKenzie. On January 31, 1941 she married Kenneth M. Poe who preceded her in death in 1991. In 1996 she married Glen Reifenberg who also preceded in death in 2008.

She graduated from Marcellus High School, Marcellus MI and was a member of DAR and the Wakelee United Methodist Church, Wakelee, MI.

Surviving are two sons, Stephen (Jane) Poe and Bruce (Mary) Poe; two sisters, Carol Bainbridge and Sharon (Brant) Cotterman; one brother, Keith (Darlene) McKenzie; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son A.J. Poe.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday, April 7, 2014 in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, April 7, 2014 in the funeral home with Pastor John Messner of the Wakelee United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials may be directed the the Wakelee United Methodist Church.
