The Sturgis Fire Department responded to a fire at Cobalt Holdings early Monday.

According to a department media release, at 6:22 a.m., a water-flow alarm was reported from the building, located in the 1100 block of North Centerville Road.

Upon arrival, fire personnel noticed smoke emitting from the north side of the building. The fire is believed to have started by a machine igniting loose material.

Sprinkler activation kept the fire from spreading and the blaze was quickly extinguished.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
