Two arrested for meth

Two Constantine Township men, ages 26 and 24, were charged with drug-related offenses, as well as illegal possession of a deer, following arrests made Monday.

Based on observations made last week, the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit went to a residence in the 62000 block of Brick Chapel Road in Constantine Township to investigate suspected methamphetamine production.

SCAN unit members were in the area last week to investigate a meth dump site in Mill Creek. At that time, they observed in a neighboring property items used in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine.

A suspected conservation-law violation was also noticed. Investigators then executed a search warrant with the assistance of deputies from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, the Constantine Police Department, Constantine Fire Department and a conservation officer from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.

Charges include operating and maintaining a meth lab, possession of meth, felony firearms, maintaining a drug house and illegal possession of a deer.
