One person was injured Monday night in a 2-car crash west of Sturgis. According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department, 24-year-old Samantha Keesler of LaGrange was southbound on Shimmel Road, stopped at the US-12 intersection, then pulled onto the highway, and collided with an eastbound vehicle. That car was driven by Christopher Reynier, age 31, of Three Rivers. Reynier’s door was torn off in the collision, and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. Reynier was taken to Three Rivers Health for treatment. Keesler was not injured.
