Woman arrested by state police

A Kalamazoo woman was arrested Tuesday after she attempted to ram her vehicle into a patrol car.

According to state police, the woman was observed traveling south at a high rate of speed on Washington Street near Second Street. Troopers attempted to stop the woman, but she continued driving some distance before bringing her vehicle to a halt.

Troopers said the woman ignored orders to exit her vehicle and on two occasions she attempted to ram a patrol car in an effort to flee the scene.

The 31-year-old woman was charged with fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing, and driving under the influence of drugs.

Her name was not released pending arraignment.
