Clifford Hunn, 88

America mourns today. A veteran passed away, Clifford E. Hunn, age 88, of Three Rivers passed away at his home after a long illness on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Clifford was born in Joppa, MI on May 12, 1926 the son of Athel and Rosezetta(Moore)Hunn.

Clifford was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Army as a cook and baker at Fort Knox. He was employed for the Grand Trunk Railroad for thirty years before his retirement in 1984. He was also a member of the American Legion of Constantine Post # 223 and also the Three Rivers Eagles #2303.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents , one brother, two wives, and a daughter.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, sister, Viola Strauss of Coldwater, MI; daughter, JoAnn Jaseph of Three Rivers; sons, Thomas(Angie) Hunn of Kalkaska, MI, Ronald(Mandy)Hunn of Charlotte, MI, and Jerry(Lisa)Hunn of Colorado, Springs, CO; stepchildren, Martha Ayers, of Kalkaska, MI, Maynard Ayers, of Houghton Lake, MI, and Ronnie and Wesley Ayers; twenty grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren.

In accordance to Clifford’s wishes his body was donated to the University of Michigan for science study.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
