A press conference is scheduled later this week by Glen Oaks Community College regarding a new partnership with Trine University.
Details to be revealed during a 10:30 a.m. Thursday media event are expected to elaborate on a program wherein Glen Oaks students are offered a chance to earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree from Trine without having to leave St. Joseph County.
The 2+2 Pathway program will allow students to earn their associate’s degree at Glen Oaks, and then continue their schooling through Trine at its satellite location also on the Glen Oaks campus.
Trine officials said a scholarship incentive will be made available for Glen Oaks students who maintain a grade-point average of 3.0 or better.
