Joanne K. Schemenauer, 82, of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 1, 2014 at her home. She was born on November 26, 1931 in Harvey, Ill., the daughter of the late Joseph and Regina (Grzebielucha) Wojtanowski.
Mrs. Schemenauer has been a long time resident of Three Rivers, moving here in 1973. She was employed for many years in the human resources department of General Telephone before her retirement. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing golf and working in her yard.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children, Michael (Tamie Nowland) Schemenauer, Rita (Arnold) Lockwood, and Ed Schemenauer, all of Three Rivers; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sister, Suzie Soergel.
Per Joanne’s request cremation has taken place.
