White Pigeon “Citizen of the Year”

Dan Cropsey and Adele Gray were named White Pigeon citizens of the year during a brief ceremony Saturday.

They were recognized for their longstanding contributions and commitment to the community.

Cropsey is president, CEO and director of Great Lakes Realty Services and has been active in the White Pigeon Community for 40 years.

Cropsey has been a member of the White Pigeon Rotary since 1973 and has served on the White Pigeon Parks and Recreation Board and the White Pigeon Village Council. He spent seven years with the White Pigeon Chiefs varsity basketball team and is vice president of the White Pigeon Community School’s Board of Education.

Gray has lived in White Pigeon her entire life and along with her late husband, Everett, has owned Gray Brothers Stamping in White Pigeon.

Adele and Everett were the major contributors to the Everett F. Gray stadium in White Pigeon and the Adele M. Gray Fund through the White Pigeon Area Community Foundation has contributed to several programs in the local area.
