The teenager suspected of killing a Kalamazoo man last week is now in police custody. 18-year-old DaQuan Pritchett turned himself in to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety on Sunday.
19-year-old Christopher Adams was shot and killed on the city’s northeast side on July 23. According to reports, the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor plans to charge Pritchett with open murder. He also faces felony firearm charges. Another man arrested in connection with the shooting, 21-year old Tyler Bishop, has been charged with assault with intent to murder. He also faces felony firearms charges. Police are still investigating the incident, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. (MRN)
