The St. Joseph County United Way and Five Star Pizza in Colon have announced a Color Fun Run fundraiser will take place this fall.
The color run, a 5K running/walking event where participants go through periodic color stations, is being sponsored by Five Star. Volunteers from the United Way will lend a hand to the project, which benefits the Adoption Fund at St. Joseph County United Way.
The event starts at 10 a.m. Sept. 27.
The Adoption Fund, which started in 2013, was created by Five Star Pizza Owners, Carl and Annette Thornton. The Thorntons have indicated a desire to help with the financial sacrifice made by parents and grandparents who adopt.
Minimum donation is $25 and the entry deadline is Aug. 30.
