The second annual MagiCelebration got off to a good start Wednesday, as out-of-town visitors and area residents descended on the village of Colon for some magic and fun during the four-day event.
The afternoon highlight centered on FAB Magic Co., where owner Rick Fisher drew a standing-room-only crowd for a free magic show.
Fisher said registration for magicians is up 15 percent from last year and ticket sales for the showcase performances at 8 o’clock nightly are up from 2013.
Today’s activities include an all-star close-up show at 3:30 at Colon High School and the evening performance at 8 o’clock.
Friday’s lineup includes MagicIdol youth competition at 10 a.m.
