Raymond McCann, who was charged with perjury in connection with the Jodi Parrack murder case, has been ordered to stand trial.
The development took place following a preliminary examination Wednesday in St. Joseph County District Court before Judge Robert Pattison.
Pattison ruled that enough evidence exists for the 46-year-old McCann to stand trial.
Assistant prosecutor Erin Harrington said a single charge of felony perjury was amended to five counts of perjury against McCann. The charges stem from testimony he gave in 2012 regarding the case.
Four witnesses, including Parrack’s mother, took the stand Wednesday. Jo Gilson said a number of inconsistencies were noted in statements McCann made about his actions the night her 11-year-old daughter was found murdered in November 2007.
McCann remains a person of interest in Parrack’s murder.
