The Michigan Department of Transportation is staging an open house next week in advance of a major reconstruction project in downtown Mendon in 2015.
The open house takes place 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mendon village office.
MDOT next year plans to reconstruct more than a mile of M-60 through the downtown area. In addition, new sewer, water and sidewalk infrastructure will be installed.
Eastbound traffic will not be impacted, but eastbound motorists will be subject to a detour.
MDOT officials will be on hand to field questions and provide details about the project.
