Three injured after crash

Three people were treated at Three Rivers Health after a two-car crash Tuesday in Constantine Township.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p. m.

Michigan State Police said a vehicle driven by Steven Hesher, 51, of Constantine, was eastbound on Riverside Drive when he proceeded through the intersection and his car struck a vehicle traveling south on U.S. 131. The driver of that vehicle, Issac Bowlby, 18, of Three Rivers, attempted to avoid the collision, police said.

The force of the collision sent Bowlby’s vehicle rolling several times, coming to rest on its top about 100 yards from the crash site.

Bowlby and a passenger, 16-year-old Andrew Thompson of Three Rivers, were taken to Three Rivers Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, Ryan Baxter, 19, of Middlebury Ind., was treated at the scene and released.

Hesher also was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Troopers said all occupants were wearing seat belts. The highway was closed for about two hours.
