Harry R. Rasmussen, Jr., age 86, of Decatur, MI passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014.
He was born August 30, 1927 in Superior, WI the son of Harry R. Sr. and Mable (Reynolds) Rasmussen. He was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth in 1985. On October 16, 1987 he married Evelyn R. Rice who survives.
Surviving besides his wife Evelyn are two sons, Bob (Judy) Rasmussen of Volinia and Curt (Donna) Pearson of Wisconsin; five step-sons, Stanley (Charlene) Briggs of Lawton, MI, William Briggs of Portage, MI, Charles VerMeulen (Cheryl Baker) of Kalamazoo, MI and Jack (Sandy) Briggs of Hartford, MI; one step-daughter Joan Beattie of Schoolcraft, MI and many grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday, August 22, 2014 in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus. Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. in the funeral home with burial of cremains in Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Vicksburg Community Baptist Church.
