Mae Willings, 81

Mae D. Willings, age 81, of White Pigeon, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis.  She was born in Oakman Co., Alabama on November 19, 1932, a daughter of Cranford and Mandy (Davis) Smith. Mae worked at Yukon Delta in Elkhart in the 1970’s. On June 10, 1950 she married Walter F. Willings in Columbus, MS. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1998. Mae enjoyed gardening, flowers, trees and birds, and loved spending time with her family.

Mae is survived by her daughters, Betty (Wendell) Bowen, of White Pigeon; Diane Lynn Nance, of White Pigeon; Robin (Barry) Lusk, of S. Bend; sons Phillip Willings, of White Pigeon; Jerry (Debbie) Willings, of White Pigeon; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister, Martha Purvis, Elkhart;  brothers, Raymond Smith, of VA; Alfred Smith, of Oakman, AL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 9 brothers and sisters.

Relatives and friends will be received at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine on Monday from noon until service time at 2:00 PM. Reverend Terry Neumayer of Trinity Missionary Church will officiate. Interment will be at Mottville Township Cemetery in Mottville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Arthur E. Stears Post # 233, Constantine.
