Meth arrest in Lockport Township

Narcotics Investigators from the St. Joseph County Area Narcotics unit executed a search warrant Tuesday in Lockport Township for methamphetamine.

Investigators utilized the St. Joseph County Special Response Team to execute the warrant in the 57000 block of Patterson Lane.

SCAN officers had received information about methamphetamine manufacturing occurring at a residence. Additional investigation led to the culmination of a search warrant for the property.

Once on scene, officers located hazardous methamphetamine waste that was neutralized and removed from the location.

The Tri-County Health Department was also called to the scene and condemned the residence, deeming it unfit for human habitation. DHS’s Adult Protective Services also removed a vulnerable adult from the residence, sheriff’s officials said.

A 55-year-old Three Rivers resident was charged with operating and maintaining a methamphetamine lab involving hazardous waste, felony firearms, and maintaining a drug house.
