The St. Joseph County Board of Commissioners last week gave approval to the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce for a special event to be staged next year.
As a part of the chamber’s “Discover the Treasures of St. Joseph County” program, the courthouse will provide the setting for a murder-mystery dinner.
In response to the request from chamber director Christy Trammell, commissioners offered no comment before voting unanimously to grant the request Tuesday.
The event will take place 6 to 9 p.m. on a Saturday in July in the third-floor commissioners’ room. A date has not yet been set.
The chamber last month staged a luau at Rawson’s King Mill in Leonidas Township and last year an evening of fine dining inside the Langley Covered Bridge as part of the “Treasures” series.
