Glen Oaks receives reaffirmation of accreditation

Glen Oaks Community College has received notice of reaffirmation of accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.

College President Dr. David Devier, who began serving as the college’s eighth president in January, received notice in a letter from the HLC on Wednesday.

Devier said the reaffirmation validates all the work faculty and staff have been doing in the area of continuous improvement. He thanked faculty and staff for their hard work and dedication that played a critical role in achieving the accomplishment.

The accreditation process ensures quality in educational institutions and programs. The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools has regional accreditation responsibilities for higher education institutions in the central United States.
