Ruth Johnson, 91

The family of Ruth M. Johnson sadly announces the passing of their Mother on Sept. 5, 2014.

Ruth was born June 13, 1923 in Moorepark, the daughter of Earl V. and Amy Irene (Pizell) Abrams.

She was a graduate of Marcellus High School and the Cook County School of Nursing, class of 1945.

Ruth began her nursing career in San Francisco, and returned to Michigan in 1950 where she was employed for many years at the Three Rivers Medical Clinic.
She retired from the Kalamazoo County Health Department in 1986 after 18 years of service.

To be closer to her children, Ruth moved to Mountain View, Calif. in 1989.

She is survived by her son Jim (JJ) Johnson of Groveland, Calif., Jan (Johnson) Finch of Mountain View, Calif., brothers Herb and Jack Abrams, and sister Amy (Abrams) Jackson of Michigan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth is remembered for her positive attitude and keen sense of humor. She was full of compassion and blessed many with her commitment to true, loving friendships.

She was a long time member of the New Apostolic church.
