Ryan Osborn, 43

Ryan Lee Osborn, age 43, of Three Rivers, died unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at his home. He was born in Sturgis on April 11, 1971 the son of Darrell and Linda (Johnson) Osborn. Ryan attended the Leonidas Stone School, Colon Middle School and Mendon High School. He had been employed at X-L Machine of Three Rivers for 10 years, and at MPI Research in Mattawan the past 6 years. He enjoyed camping, canoeing, hunting, and hockey. He had a special place in his heart for stray and injured pets.

Ryan is survived by his parents and their spouses, Darrell “Oz”(Linda) Osborn of Three Rivers, and Linda (Ken) Smith of Scotts; three children, Chase, Katelyn, and Madelyn; the mother of his daughters, Heather; two sisters, Brandi (Justin) Racz of Romeo and Lyndsey (Daniel) Beckmann of Jennison; step-brothers, Chris (Laura)Smith of Summerville, SC, Comas (Kathy) Dunklee of Colorado Springs, CO, and Chad (Michelle) Dunklee of Paw Paw; paternal grandmother, Carol A. Osborn of Sturgis; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Carol R. “Ozzie” Osborn and Alma McIntosh; maternal grandparents, Herb and Veronica Johnson.

Cremation has been conducted. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday Sep. 6, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial donations will be directed to an educational fund being established for his children.
