Sturgis man injured in motorcycle accident

A 57-year-old Sturgis man suffered minor injuries after he was involved in a motorcycle accident Sunday in Sherman Township.

St. Joseph County Sheriff’s officials said the man was driving east on Featherstone Road when a vehicle attempted to turn south onto North Centerville Road and did not see him. The turning vehicle was driven by a 51-year-old woman from Goshen.

The cyclist took evasive action to avoid a collision, and wound up losing control and overturning his motorcycle.

The woman was cited for failure to yield.
