Two people in injured in car crash

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Mendon Township.

Sheriff’s officials said a westbound vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Colon woman crossed the centerline on Silver Street, south of Michigan Avenue, and struck an oncoming vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Mendon woman.

One of the women was transported by ambulance to Borgess Hospital, the other was airlifted to Bronson Hospital.

Names of the people involved were not immediately released.
