White Pigeon receives 5 new buses

Officials from White Pigeon Community Schools said the district recently took delivery of five new buses.

Purchased for nearly $400,000 with funds generated as a result of a 1-mill, $1.6 million millage request in May, the buses are being fitted with radios, cameras and other equipment.

High school principal and acting superintendent Jon Keyer said the first of the five buses will likely be on the road by next week.
