Emma Featherstone, age 74, of Constantine, passed away at Borgess Medical Center on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, with family by her side. Emma was born on March 17, 1940 in Hunter, AR, the daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (Arnold) Meadows. Emma was a very active woman who held a passion for many things. Emma loved spending time outdoors, working in her flower garden or fishing. She also enjoyed collecting guns and coins. She worked at Continental Can and retired from Fonda Corporation with 35 years of service. Emma loved her family and was always happiest when they were near. She loved the Holidays and the chance to have all her family together. She leaves them with a strong legacy, and many happy memories. On April 22, 2003, she married Lloyd Featherstone who survives. She is also survived by 4 children, Deb McNamee-Russell, Becky (Steve) Williams, Vallie Soncarty, and John (Karen) McNamee; 4 step-sons, Bill, Terry and Tom (Krista) Featherstone, and Wilbour “Mickey” (Rita) McNamee; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Evelyn Coleman and Bonnie (A.D.) Byrd; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by her former husband, Lewis “Mac” McNamee; 4 siblings, Johnie, Freddie Ray, Roy Meadows, and Betty Frazier. A visitation will be held at Hohner Funeral Home, 1004 Arnold St., Three Rivers, MI 49093, on Sunday, October 5, 2014, from 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 6, 2014, beginning at 11:00AM, with Pastor Terry Neumayer officiating. Interment at Calhoun Cemetery in Nottawa Township. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Missionary Church, envelopes available at the funeral home. Friends and family may share a condolence online at www.hohnerfh.com.
