Karen Green, 66

Karen S. Green, 66, of Quesnel, British Columbia, and formerly of White Pigeon, Mich., died Oct. 19, 2014, in Quesnel.

She was born June 14, 1948, in Sturgis, Mich., a daughter of John Thomas and Alice Elizabeth (Codd) Robertson. She attended White Pigeon Schools. For two years, she lived on a dude ranch in Israel on the Sea of Galilee.

In 1979, she married Gordon Green in Falkland, British Columbia and she spent the rest of her life in British Columbia employed as a hunting guide in the Yukon, as a trapper, in logging and at a nursing home.

She is survived by her husband, and foster son, Tyrone Green, both of Quesnel; two sisters, Margaret Bishop of Three Rivers and Betty (Chuck) Storey of Elkhart, Ind.; two brothers, John (Debra) Robertson and Tom (Kim) Robertson, both of Sturgis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dick Robertson.

A private family gathering will be held in White Pigeon at a later date, with interment of cremains in Constantine Township Cemetery. Donations may be directed to the charity of one’s choice. Envelopes are available at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, which assisted with arrangements.
