Penny Bauman, 66

Penny Kay Bauman, age 66, of Colon, passed away, Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Penny was born Dec. 30, 1947, in Flint, a daughter of the late Myron G. and Dorothy Jean (Smith) Parks.
She had lived most all of her life in the Colon area. On Jan. 16, 1965, she married Robert L. (Bob) Baughman in Colon.
She had worked for Vanguard Industries in Colon for 37 years, retiring in 2012.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Bauman of Colon; children, Brenda Fox of Colon, Robert (Bobby) Bauman II and Robin Miller of Sturgis, Beth Burbank of Colon and Buffi Wetzel of Sturgis; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pamela Darby and Paulette Moore.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life gathering will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the Colon American Legion.
If desired, memorials may be made to the family. The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
