Eldon Mangold, age 59, of Three Rivers, died Tuesday Nov. 11, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Vicksburg, MI on Aug. 28, 1955 the son of Alva and Eugenia (Coleman) Mangold and was a lifetime resident of the area. He attended Howardsville and Three Rivers schools. Eldon worked at several area factories, including W.F. Wells. For the past 20 years he has provided in home care to his wife, Irene. He enjoyed outdoor activities such as yard work, gardening, and fishing.
Eldon is survived by his wife, Irene (Fountain) Mangold; two daughters, Ashley (Gary) Wilson and Tiffany (Andrew Lett) Mangold both of Three Rivers; four grandchildren, Jayden Jackson Mangold, Ja’Nyha Magallon, Andrew Lett, Jr. and Ayden Lett; two sisters, Dora King of Three Rivers and Reba (Dennis) Ledwick of Bronson; two brothers, Billy (Sandy) Mangold and Roland (Linda) Mangold both of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Benny Mangold.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 15, 2014 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Rudy Grantham, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Constantine officiating. Burial will be in Leonidas Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the family.
