Jill D. Pagels, 65, of Sturgis, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 at her home.
Jill was born on Dec. 11, 1948 in Three Rivers, the daughter of Richard and Joan (Peters) Jacobs. She was a Sturgis area resident since 1969. She was a graduate of Three Rivers High School in 1967 and graduate of Parsons Business School in Kalamazoo with a degree in accounting. Retired from the Department of Human Services. Member of The Church of Christ in Sturgis, Bible Study, Prayer Chain. She also had a Card Ministry.
She was married to Larry D. Pagels on Nov. 22, 2003 in Sturgis. He survives along with her daughter, Sarah Jo Pelfrey of Elkhart, Ind.; son, Randy Lee (Trish) Pelfrey of Bronson; four grandchildren, Randy Jr., Daniel, Cameron and Johanna Pelfrey; great-grandchild, Alianna Bauder; parents, Richard and Joan Jacobs of Three Rivers; brother, Alfred R. (Jennie) Jacobs of Alamo; three stepchildren, Trent, Todd and Troy Freeman.
Preceded in death by her son, Daniel L. Pelfrey, on June 7, 2003.
There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 at The Church of Christ in Sturgis. Rev. David Main and Rev. George Cleverly will officiate.
Donations may be directed to The Church of Christ; envelopes are available at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon who is in charge of arrangements.
