Three injured in Cass County crash

A Cassopolis man was airlifted to South Bend Memorial following a two-vehicle accident over the weekend in Cass County.
Sheriff Joe Underwood said 21-year-old Todd Duricic of Cassopolis was driving north on O’Keefe Road shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday in LaGrange Township. Deputies said Duricic attempted a U-turn north of Fox Street when he turned into the path of a car behind his vehicle.
The second car was driven by Richard Drake, 58, of Dowagiac. Drake was unable to avoid striking Duricic’s vehicle as it turned from the shoulder into the roadway. The collision occurred north of Fox Street.
While Duricic was airlifted from the scene, a passenger in his vehicle – 20-year-old Aaron Clauss from White Pigeon – was treated at Borgess Lee Memorial. Drake was also taken to Borgess Lee Memorial.
Investigators said seat belts were worn at the time of the crash and alcohol was not a factor.
