Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Hackenberg, age 83, of Three Rivers, passed away on Monday, Dec. 22nd, 2014 at Three Rivers Health. She was born on October 27, 1931 in Three Rivers, MI., the daughter of the late William and Thelma (Meyers) Roberts Sr.
Mrs. Hackenberg has been a lifelong resident of Three Rivers. On June 4, 1948 she was united in marriage to the late Warren “Bub” Hackenberg. Betty enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and her bowling league. Her true joy was spending time with family and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bub Hackenberg; four brothers, John, Jack, Jim, and Jeep Roberts.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, two sons, David (Maria), and Donald “Curly” (Gayle) Hackenberg; one daughter, Debra (Robert) Mak, all of Three Rivers; eleven grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Brother, Buck (Marlene) Roberts; special friend, Jack Abrams.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Hohner Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Solis officiating.
Interment will be held held in Marcellus Cemetery following services.
