Ruth Alice Liebenthal, age 90, of Three Rivers, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Grace Riverview Manor of Three Rivers. She was born in Madison, WI on October 13, 1924 the daughter of William and Grace(Marks)Nott.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Besides teaching Elementary Education, she taught English as a second language and homebound tutoring.
Ruth loved the Lord and practiced her faith as a member of The First Presbyterian Church of TR/C and an associate member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ in Sebring, FL. She was a volunteer at Three Rivers Hospital, involved in mentoring young people and delivered for the Meals on Wheels program in Sebring, FL. She loved reading, traveling, gardening, bridge, and was a member of the Club of Little Gardens. She loved without judgment, laughed contagiously, whistled like a bird, and cared selflessly for anyone she thought she could help. She will be greatly missed by so many people she touched.
Ruth leaves to cherish her loving memory,beloved husband of sixty nine years, Ben Liebenthal; three children, Ann(Larry)Hermen, Lynn(Gary)Conway, and Edward(Sue)Liebenthal; grandchildren, Chris(Mariecia), Tim(Kelli), Matt(Lee)Hermen, Brad(Brittany), David, Catherine Conway, Corlyne(Andy)Mulder, Julie(Andy)Cudney, Marc(Priscilla)Liebenthal , and eight great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church of TR/C; 320 N. Main St; Three Rivers, MI 49093.
